Three Generations

I've had the pleasure of photographing some really beautiful families these past two weeks. I'll be sharing some of my favorites soon.  Until then, I'll share a simple storyboard I created this week.  I have lots of post processing to do from my sessions so this post is quick and simple. Enjoy!

P.S. The keepsake box class will take place this Thursday.  I still have one left if there are any takers out there :0)

Paper Wreath

I love anything paper, seriously~  It seems like everyone has an element of the earth that they love; some like glass, other's like wood, or even metal.  I LOVE paper, always have.

Lately, I've been gravitating towards old books and designs with text or numbers.  I am especially fond of old books that have yellowed pages with tattered ends.  I was surfing around the internet recently and noticed a few paper wreaths. I'd never given them a try so I decided it was time.  Since I really want this snow to disappear, I figured I would adorn my front door with a spring wreath.  I no sooner get it hung on my door and bam, a snowstorm. Oh well, soon enough spring will be here!

What to Wear

I found this great post that addresses the famous question, "what should I wear" when setting up a photo shoot.  Thought I would post it here because it's really good.  I got it from one of my favorite sites, I Heart Faces. It really speaks to the more updated approach to clothing for photographs today “Matching bad, coordinating good!!”.  I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Doesn't everyone have a cat that lays down while she eats?

Not much to post lately. I've been super busy designing a new item and preparing for an upcoming class. Today I had the pleasure of photographing a little baby girl, her Mom, & her Mimi. I had so much fun. Can't wait so share them.  Lots of post processing to do yet but I'll share soon.  We've got to squeeze in some family time.

Hopefully I put a smile on your face with my Fat Cat!

Keepsake Box Class Update

I have one keepsake box left.  Putting out one last post before I send out the email to all those who signed up.

Going once, going twice..............................

Keepsake Box Class

Some time ago I had an idea for this little box I came across. It was white and ugly but I loved the shape of it and the hardware on it.  When I see things like this I always want to re-purpose it.  This little box would be so awesome if done shabby and in homey(if that is even a word) colors!  It would be great for family keepsakes like letters or cards you can't part with.  It would also be great for the "best" school papers and artwork for one of your children.  We all want to keep the "good ones" but where do you keep it all?  This was my solution...........

Here is the family keepsake box.

The inside is 7" deep and 103/4 x 10 3/4

I started off with 12 of these.  Four are completely gone (clients that stopped by the house and got an early preview).  I have 8 more left and would love to offer them as a class.  Class price is $60.00 and includes everything you need as well as all personalization.  If someone wants to buy it directly, its $75.00.  If you are interested, please email me asap.  If I have enough for a class, I'll determine a date that suits the majority.  Otherwise, I will sell them outright.

Pleased to Meet You, my name is Daisy

Posting a photo for today of my son's dog, she's love!

Found the cutest little tag for scrapbooking and thought it would make a cute addition to her collar. Yes, she's totally spoiled!
